We went to Broad Beach for the first time on Saturday, very nice, lots of lovely little bars and restaurants and although only 10 minutes from Surfers, had a very different feel to it.

Would go back

Not bad at all down there.

I like the coastal stretch further North up by Biggera Waters, it doesn't have much in the way of bars and that but it is also less crowded, which suits an anti-social sod like me just fine

Hehehe, very nice indeed! My family and I were probably sitting on one of the benches opposite that balcony enjoying lunch and the amazing and relaxing view!

Cheers

We have lived on the GC (Carrara) for four and a half years and it suits us fine - beaches, hinterland, one hour from Brisbane, loads of restaurants etc.
My only small gripe is the very poor public transport available. With teenagers wanting to get about it turns you into an unpaid taxi driver
