I have 50 GMail Invites to give away - anyone up for it?
Hi Guys,
I have 50 GMail invites to give away as I have myself just opened up an account with GMail via an invitation from my friend. Anyone want one... great way to keep in touch with rellies when in Australia?!?
(All bribes considered!)

I read an interview with the google mail supremo the other week, where he said the whole 'invite thing' was a lark. Its like viral marketing. Its 'exclusive' to have a gmail account.
An equally great way to stay in touch with rellies is to get a yahoo account, or whatever service provider you sign up with in Oz with offer you gigs of space as well.
But Google are certainly getting their marketing right. I'll try and dig up the interview,

I initially had 50 invites to spare. I send almost 25, now realized that the figure is 50 again... Intelligent marketing...

I can't find the original interview anymore!! At least not at this time of night, because when I do a search for 'viral marketing gmail', I get thousands of links back.
Like I said, very smart marketing for a dodgey beta product, when there are better long tested email portals out there.
Just my opinion
Congrats to all those who are lucky enough to have been invited to have a gmail address
