I dunno, talk about 'extremes' but you know I read post over post about how we all want our 'house without mortgage' .... and 'sipping the beer by the pool' ... and I think about what the fudge I'm goin thru to only 'attempt' to get residency here!!!
Oh I dunno, is it bloody worth it???
Anyone PLEASE answer as to be honest the way I feel right now I feel like checking ebookers for the price of a flight home ...

hope the head isnt too bad jim 
you wouldnt be human if you didnt have the odd downer mate ...... but as many have already told you, you have an awful lot of folks on here who are in awe of what you are doing to achieve your dream and who admire you greatly for the hard work you are putting in to that dream. If you did a poll on here now, i bet 99% of people wouldnt have the courage to do what you and your family have done ...... so take strength in that and keep going - set yourself a time frame to review how its going. that way when you hit a downer, you can think to yourself, well its only 3 more months before we sit and talk about the future....get yourselves a plan drawn up on what to do if and when crap happens.
but i hope to one day to meet you!

I can only reinforce what others have said about sticking it out. It is a huge responsibilty that you have taken on for yourself and your family so that must feel scary and too much to cope with sometimes - I'd guess its normal to have these "I want to escape" feelings. Try to focus on what brought you to Oz , enjoy the time with the family and the simple things like walking the dog on the beach, and finally "chin up"

Well today had a lovely day once the head cleared. Both the kids have stayed around friends tonight so we went out for a nice meal and then visited Jane & Russ for a chit chat.
I guess at times I don't know if I'm Arthur or Marthur, and the booze just makes me worse ...
It's a bit of an ongoing problem which I'm going to have to watch in the future. Anyway, I still feel as if the world is on my shoulders, but at the end of the day I / we decided to do this and there's no point in me moaning about it now. I need to focus and stay strong, do it for the rest of the family, oh and myself too!
Anyway, I just want to say the biggest thank you to everyone for their nice words. It WAS just what I needed really ...
Onwards and up eh!
