I cant believe they just said that on TV!!!!
Came in switch on news, first up bali 9 as they are now known, captured on film strapped with heroin to every conceivable limb.
Dozen ads, then we cross to footage of the New Pope with the introduction "THE NEW NAZI POPE". the newsspeil continues with us being shown foootage of german children marching about 1940 and more comments about him being an ex Nazi.
Couldnt believe it
about 15 mins later, there was some statement of retraction, didnt fully hear it but definate retraction of the word nazi.
:scared: Strange country at times

But........ It was compulsory for ALL German children to be in it.

He was a member of the National Socialist party for a short time.
So it does make him an ex nazi

I am from Jewish stock (with relatives who suffered through WWII) before anyone has any comments. I found it and how Hitler operated very interesting and made me realise that in all parts of history you have many stories.
People do what they think is right at the time with the knowledge they have. Whilst we should not condone mindless extermination of any part of our society, we should not label someone a "Nazi" because part of their culture was in the time of Nazi Germany.
I wonder what British culture will write about "Illegal Immigrants"!?
