For those that live there, how long does the humidity generally last for in summer?

All summer, but after a week or so, you don't even notice it any more.

So about 9 months roughly or a bit less?

Probably a little less, but the humidity is pretty mild compared to more tropical places like Cairns and Darwin - there would only be a few days a year where you really think it's too humid to be out and about.

You have 2-3 months where its hot and fairly humid. (Although as the previous poster said, don't moan about the humidity to anyone from further North in Qld, they laugh at you) The rest of the year the weather is absolutely perfect

Take it from me, mid-January to the end of February is usually the worst.

I just read on another forum it lasts for nine months and is really bad. Didn't sound quite right to me.

If it's like Durban in South Africa. I can live with that.

9 months!

Maybe nine weeks at the absolute worst, of which only nine days would be really humid . .

mid november until end of feb. But it isn't that bad at all really. In fact, it is quite nice to have a steamy, humid week or two and then watch the big thunderstorms roll in.

Way too humid for us that is why we live in Melbourne. Do not like humidity, things grow in cupboards, shoes get green. Not a fan at all. Know thyself if you hate humidity you do not get used to it.

I can confirm that I've never had anything grow in a cupboard (even with 3 teenage boys in the house)

And no green shoes either!

Perhaps that's a problem further north in Qld, but definitely not in the Brisbane region

No green shoes for me either over decades Just those southerners justifying why they live in the cold most of the year...brrrrrrrr....
