Default Hubbys petrol driven tools

Hubby has just had a thought - is he able to ship his petrol disc cutter etc in with all the other furniture shipping.

Does anyone know ? Karma for all replies !!

You need to get specific shipping guidelines it can be done but you have to make sure the fumes/oils etc are dealt with for obvious reasons of explosion risk. Might be just as well buying new when he gets there. Sorry I can't be more specific.

I shipped my petrol Stihl Saw with no problems at all. Run it out of fuel take out the plug and pour some oil down the barrel, not a lot, just enough to keep the piston from seizing in the barrel. I also left mine outside for a couple of weeks with the fuel cap off to allow as much petrol vapour to evaporate as possible.

Thanks for that - great info. Do you know approx how much petrol disc cutters are in Oz or do you know a website we can look at ? Hubby also wants to know if would be able to take it as hand luggage.
