Default HSC preparation / Naplan preparation / Selective Schools

Hi,

We moved a year ago to Sydney and my kid is in year 9 now. For last one year I have been trying to get him into selective schools. I heard at year 9 they have "NAPLAN" exams and based on that score you can get into "selective schools" like "James Ruse" or "Baulkam hills high school".

What is the correct year and process to apply and get into selective schools (Year 9,10 or 11).

I see that "Pre-Univ" and "Edu-Kingdom" has some courses for HSC preparation / Naplan preparation.

Has anybody got any idea Which is better "Pre-Univ" or "Edu-Kingdom". OR Is there any other place which is better than both.

Thanks.
