HSBC Getrate
I've seen good things about HSBC's Getrate on here and as I have Premier accounts in both the UK and here I thought I'd give them a go. I need to transfer £25,000. The online rates I was quoted (within a 10 minute or so timespan) were:
HSBC Getrate 2.1464
UKForex 2.1666
HIFX 2.1710
Has anyone else found that Getrate is no longer competitive, am I doing something wrong or is this just a bad day for Getrate?

Yeah, they certainly don't seem as sharp as they used to be. I'd give them a pass this time around and wait until they stop being greedy.

Good question. I've transferred amounts from Oz to UK at just under $10,000 lots in the past when the FX rate was in favour for that movement. Had I been bothered I probably could have got a better exchange rate elsewhere and I may have made $50 or so extra each time, but I deemed it really wasn't worth the hassle.
