How is payment made to Shipping Companies

Hi,

Is payment made all up front or part deposit part on delivery ?

Any idea's anyone or what have others done ?

lenaro_w is an unknown quantity at this point

A lot of the companies that quoted us wanted the money 7 days in advance of coming to pack up. We've decided to go with Atlantic who are happy to take a cheque when they remove the furniture from our house.

Thanks but am slighty miffed that they want everything up front and not part before and part on completion of the job.

We had PSS who took our stuff then sent us a bill for the full amount to be paid straight away.

Have had several quotes from various companies all requiring payment upfront, with the exception of PSS who are happy to invoice on completion of the loading
Also seem to be reasonable in their quote too !
