I realise this may be a little dozy, but usually when I pack boxes they're going in the car with me!

We have a bunch of boxes from excess baggage. We've packed books without anything else covering them (like a binliner inside or something). Will they be okay? They are tight in the box so aren't shoogling around. Same with CD's but with a towel round them.

Also we have two duvets - is there any point in getting them cleaned before putting them in a box? Or will they just get stinky on the journey anyway?

Will all my other bits and bobs be okay if I just pack as normal? Like crockery type things in bubble wrap etc, and other non breakable bits and bobs in with it, but tightly packed.
