How much so far??

The wife and i we chatting last night and adding up all the bits and pieces of this whole migration lark....

Basically it works out like this....

£43000 capital investment - yeah i know this is only a one off but you still have to scrape it up.
£17000 on home improvement - again this was going to have had to be done but....
£8000(ish) on validation holiday
£2500 on agents fees and application fees
£600 on medicals and police clearances
£200 on couriers
£50 certification of bits and pieces
----------------
£71350:scared::scared::scared:

And i have no doubt there will be more to come !!

*15,000 pounds on reccie mission to OZ ( don't ask..)
*3000 pounds on agents fees
* 600 pounds (ish) on meds and pc's
*1000 pounds in alcohol expenses (while we waiting for the visas to be processed... )
* 3000 pounds to the estate agents for selling our Uk house
* 800 pounds to the shipping company (only shipped the kids stuff and photos / memorabilia)
* 5000 pounds on flights and first months rent in OZ
* 6000 pounds on new car in OZ (not "new", secondhand)
* 4000 pounds on new furniture / electrical appliances in OZ

Mmm, it is, isn't it. Especially as I have the thought that viewers might have some sort of idea that we are rich idiots with money to squander, which we aren't and never were. It was a case of saving up and it costs whatever it costs to get us here, which is why we have always been so determined to make it work. We wouldn't have spent that kind of money without knowing we were in for the long run.... :)
