how much patience is virtuous?
Hi, I'm seeking some advice from those who have made it through the visa application process, because I'm not quite sure what I should do next.
I'm applying for General Skilled 136. Here the significant dates:
22/2/06 - Application sent
9/3/06 - Acknowledgment
26/9/06 - According to the automated e-mail from [email protected] should be allocated to CO
6/11/06 - Called DIMA directly (from Vietnam.. on vacation ), found out that CO e-mailed on 27/9/06, which I never received. I'm using GMail.
19/11/06 - Receive e-mail from CO - request additional docs (work references, police, medicals)
1/12/06 - e-mail scanned copies (references, medical receipts, police checks)
11/12/06 - Receive acknowledgement from ASPC for documents sent
22/1/07 - called DIMA, found out that CO was looking at file on 29/1/07.
Haven't heard a peep since, and the week is done (in australia.. i still have a day of work tomorrow)
I don't mind being patient, but I'm concerned about never receiving the first e-mail. From what I can tell from others (from austimeline.com) the wait between sending the remaining docs to the CO and receiving a decision is 3-6 weeks. So I'm wondering what to do next...
