Default How much more do we have to take?

I'm sorry if I offend some people, but how much more do we have to take from the rubbish that is posted on here when Wilf, PB and the likes, get up in the morning.

People send in posts, and enjoy reading and getting information and ideas from one another. THEN up pops PB, Wilf and Dotty, who procede to gaggle along, either being down right rude or arguing with anyone who asks a question on this forum.

Last week Dotty, I thought you had calmed down a bit and given your views in a calm and respectful manner, which I found to be of interest, and you showing that Australia has its problems like any other country in the world. I am sure that PB brings the worst out of you, as he does in us.

As moderators, I think its about time you did something about this forum and the idiots you allow to write just about what they like. I for one, don't need their input as it is of no use at all.
Yes, we all want to hear from people who are out there. The good and the bad, but written in a respectful manner.

If this forum doesn't change soon, I will no longer be using it.

I want to find out which bunch of muppets have employed PB in Australia. Once he leaves it might be worth investing in them. Costs will go down and productivity will go up. All he does is post here.

In fact I think he even posts replies to his own posts!!

Dinky

P.S. At least he is sometimes funny and informative though.

if you do not like what they have say, just add them to your ignore list. If there is reason to complain re a post report it to the mods.

A lot of the time I do not like what they are saying or sometimes the manner in which they put things, and as long as they are not for instance racist, then they should like the rest of us be free to put their views down.

Funny at times because someone posts something on here, and we all think, 'oh blimey, what will PB say about that'.

If I were to put my views on PB and Wilf after reading their gaggle this morning, I would definately be crossed off this forum.

Bit of a love hate relationship - I love to see what he's going to dish up next and hate to think anyone believes it..... And he's a great ice breaker at expat meets "Oh did you see that post...."

I know, I know, I have let him wind me up again this morning, and I know that is what he wants. Another point to him. I just wish that sometimes, just sometimes, he would be nice. I suppose it wouldn't be the same without him sticking his fat hairy butt in to stir us all up. Its just that when someone writes that their kids don't want to go to Australia and are very upset and concerned, it is time to either be sensible, or just keep out of that one.

Why do you even give the guy so much power? It's just playing his game. If you can't stand him, just ignore him.
I wonder what he would feel like if people simply stopped reading his posts... I know I don't anymore.
C'mon, you can't let one lonely sad guy get to you! Keep up the good spirit!

Please don't let them get to you , I have been using this site for a long time and I still find lots of useful info on it.

Please keep using this site or it will be overun with negative vibe merchants. If you stop using it they are winning the game and achieving what they want.

Use the blocking system if it helps, but most of all just take what they say with a pinch of salt. After all they could be anyone, who knows if they actually even live in Aus!! or have any experience of it.

Keep smiling!! We need more posters like you.

They all have as much right to an opinion as the rest of us. Occasionally I do get miffed with what they write but then again they may get just as miffed at what I write. Life goes on. If you let them wind you up they win.

I like PB. He may post / "cut and paste" some rubbish, but he sometimes has some good points to make.

He's also spent 9 years in Perth, so can impart some useful advice. See:-

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...hreadid=153438

I just take what these people say with a pinch of salt. If they really wind you up, put them on your ignore list.

Surely the whole point of forum is to let everyone have a say. As long as it not offensive.

Just my opinion.

Regards
Karl.

Default Thanks everyone

Sorry,
I know that you are all right in what you say. They just caught me off guard again this morning. I should know better, I usually do, and give the exact same advise as you are giving me.
Good luck to you all with your new lives in Australia and New Zealand. Lets all try and make a good go at it so that we can give more positive advise to those who are on the forum and waiting for their turn.

hi all

i just wanted to add support to what sue started (hi sue). Last week i got so involved with certain negative posters, that i began responing abusivley, in effect bringing my self down to their level, and as sue knows they almost succeeded in putting me off my plans to migrate altogether! but thanks to people like sue and others, i am now even more determined to migrate. I agree that it is good to get other perspectives but there are better ways to get your views across with out personal slagging matches, if i wanted abusive chat i would go on one of the many online chat rooms that specialise in encouraging such sad and ignorant people to vent their warped sence of humour on those that are there for the same reason.
