You have 2 days left for that one...
But keep your eyes open for a possible new Queensland First Home buyers Boost, to increase the $7,000 grant, ... but not in the SE corner....
"The Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh, has suggested that an extra boost be given to the first home buyers grant, if they buy outside the main South East corner."
Whether it will happen or not is unsure yet.

The only 'sure change' is the drop from the $14,000 and $10,500 grants down to $7,000 from Jan 1st 2010.

Thanks for the wonderful links provided as it helps people to know more. There are so many varied answers available for this question as there is little confusion I believe. The important point everyone has to know is people can't utilize this type of grant to buy a rental property, they need to use their new house as their primary residence.
