HI guys

We have 6 firms coming around to quote for a 20ft container next week. We are planning on leaving at the end of July 06. I would love to know any quotes anyone has recieved. We have PSS, brittania, Pickfords, Whites, GB Lines and Anglo Pacific. Anyone else recommend someone else to ring. We were considering a diy job but are keeping our options open.

Hi Nic,our highest quote was for 4200 and we have now booked whites at 3350.We picked whites because (a) they were cheaper then some other ones but also i was impressed with there service and they didnt ask (so far) for extra money to pack my very large mirrors.all the best .x Irishbloo

For a diy job, the box will cost £1,600 including export haulage, you must arrange delivery at the other end.
This is through Maersk Booking Office in Liverpool 0870 333 0803.

Sounds like a good price with Whites we have them out next week and I have heard heaps of good things about them on here.

Where abouts are you going to? Did that include insurance?

sounds like we are leaving around the same time. Exciting isnt it!

PS: I also have 2 large mirrors and funny enough hubby asked today if we were taking them. Defo I said.

we decided against a 20ft, so only taking half that, but they were cheaper than mason's and told us about the charges for customs at other end (none of the others had mentioned it)

we just paid £2400 for a half of 20ft container from pickfords, very competative and very very very professional, i got the impression that we were in the way. they bubble wrapped everything and were there all day. i would highly recommend the professionalism.

Hi Nic ,we are leaving here 28 July.well actually we are leaving the rented house we are in July 27 ,staying overnight in Manchester and arriving Perth August 1.Picfords wanted £90 to make boxes for my mirrors but Whites havent asked for anything extra.One minute i am very calm and the next minute im flapping like mad.I thank God for the man (or woman ) who invented wine.When and where are you off.x irishbloo
