Default How much did you all pay for your agents?!

Just thought this might help those who are just starting out! The amount we pay can vary hugely.

My agent charged £1200. Next Step Migration. SIR Visa.

zip zero nothing nought nowt

unless your case has complications there shouldn't be any reason not to apply yourself,
to date Ive done and passed TRA application ( supposedly the hard bit )
and submitted our vise application 7-7-05
( recently sent off meds and police checks as requested )

with the help and support that you can get from a forum like this i personally wouldn't even consider giving my hard earned over to anyone to fill in forms

put it towards a reccie visit the money will be better of used that way

this is only my personal opinion

regards Steve

Australian based Agent: $1,250
ACS Fee (TRA for IT folk): $300
DIMIA Fee : $1,950
Au Fed Police fee : $ 60
Medicals (Pending) : €500

The agent I've used is excellent, she tend to do a lot of corporate work for Multinationals, but is quite competative in price.

You could live without an agent, however, they earn their crust when little thing go wrong / slow / etc. My agent pursues and cajolled the ACS regarding some aspects of my application, so as to minimise the lead time & hastle. Don't get me wrong , if you don't qualify, you don't qualify, however a good agent can be the difference between a slow drawn out process, and a straight forward process.

right with you there mate.
Cant see the point in giving someone money when you still have to give them the information. Unless it is a difficult case there is no need.

Nowt!
same as Steveo and Willmore,

Took some info from some really nice people such as Darrell Todd( thinkingaustraila), Glen Newton, Welsh Tony and some from JAJ (ok JAJ, you do have some good info sometimes) armed with this and no money, I did the Vetassess and then the SK47. Mine is complicated but life's like that and the DIMIA have been playing this game a long time so they should know what to do when complicated case comes along. If I don't get in then plan B!

Hugs Lace xxx
Good luck to you.

Good luck to you.
I can see both sides, if you want to do it yourself and save some money then fine, but if you do not want the hassle and want to pay there`s nothing wrong with that either. I can paint my own house but pay a decorator freind to do it so I don`t have the hassle/ loss of time and thats no different is it.
