How much bond will they ask for ?

How much bond will they ask for ?
Have sent meds and pcc's off and understand that next stage is bond request. Does anyone know how much they will ask for and is this variable depending on where you want to go??

Thanks everyone but starting to panic a bit. I,m applying under the skilled independant (subclass 136). Does anyone know what the bond is for that??

OMG!! Right do you meet the points requirement or are you making up some extra points with an investment bond??
If the answer is yes 9you meet the points) theres no bond
If however the answers no, then you need to cough up $100,000 :scared:

Correct, if you dont have enough points you can boost your score by another 5 points with a $100K bond. I think they keep it for a year. Not sure if you get interest back on that when its returned though

The interest is similar to a savings account. Typically you get half the interest after 6 months and the other half at the end.

Yes you get interest paid 1/2 yearly. We secured 5.33% so will get Aus$2665 in August and again in February when we get our $100,000 back.
