How much $ can be brought into Oz?

Does anyone have any idea about how much cash can be brought into Australia please?

As much as you want as long as you declare amounts over $10,000 cash to customs.

Probably a report to the tax office, federal police and ASIO (secret service). You maybe asked as to why you aren't wiring the cash or using travellers cheques. People use cash to launder money and avoid taxes. If you owe no taxes then you will not be taxed on the amount. BTW the ATO may report the cash to the Inland Revenue.
