Very nearly put us off - not because of Australia but some of the people in it. We decided before ever having seen the program but then again I think the deciding factor was frankly it was either here, Europe or Canada.

Europe since we have EU passports but really didnt fancy any EU state. Then it was between Australia and Canada simply because we could get Visas. Canada is too cold for us

I think that if you look fifteen years ago or so the British public had a "love affair" with the USA and it was all the rage to move there and do things "American". Once you could not get a visa if you tried, then Australia has seemingly taken its place. Its about the one place left in the world that will take the British....!

We've been "doing it" on an off four years, finally got the courage to apply for visa after a trip to NSW.... We want to go back to Nelsons Bay to see the fish Its great

it's gone pear shaped at the moment,we said when we came back from validating that I'd hammer the overtime from February till Christmas and that we would be able to save 10 grand to pay for getting the dog over and shipping etc etc but there's been no overtime since we came back not saved a bloody carrot all year. we could take it out of the profits of the house but that would be a last resort.....never mind matey I've still got beer in the fridge

Actually we were goign to emmigrate to the states but it took too long with nursing paperwork and exam then we saw A new life and decided we would try Oz instead so you could say it influenced our decision.
