Got visa 12th May and house went on market 31st May, don't have to validate until 23rd March 2007 so should be OK but hope it sells fast so we can go Oct/Nov. Had 1 viewing yesterday and the result was if she had sold hers she would have put an offer in!!! Praying she sells hers now!!

Hubby got his visa last April (2005) we validated last August and finally decided to put the house up for sale in January. After the initial honeymoon period of viewings up till about February, we haven't had a sniff. Getting fed up now!

We put our house on the market 23rd Feb, 9 viewings nada until the 10th viewing on 22nd May! Just waiting for the survey to be done (only 4 in the chain) and they really want our house which is fab & we've all swapped tel. no.s and they're popping round again on Sunday to see what we're leaving for them and what they can buy from us!

Yes us too. We do have a buyer, have had since January, eventually had a structual engineer booked to come around for today, he pitched up and said that he is only a normal surveyor and that they would have to send out another guy who is qualified for that.( Even though that is what we asked for). I ask you, how the hell some people keep their business going i dont know. Now the guy who does do it is only back on Monday, and then they have to rebook. We got our visa on 29 May, we want to try get to oz by August, (while the kids are having their U.K holiday).

Hope everyone elses luck is better than ours.

Wish I had the luxury of a house to sell, I wouldn't complain about all that equity coming my way.
No visa and not one any time soon.
Priced out of UK property.
Does not know why others bother to complain when they have no need to

We thought we'd got lucky a couple came to view - and loved it! next day phoned to ask if they could come back and bring her family to look as well, sounds good - even better they're in rented and so no chain - sounds too good?....... they came back with family loved it discussed where the furniture would go etc getting better all the time until................ nothing........absolutely nothing, agents been phoning them all week to find out what they thought and they won't answer the phone or return any messages. We're absolutely gutted!!

We had an offer less than what we paid for house (3 grand) a yr ago, but as we have equity from last house sale and just want to get on, thought about it for 24hrs then said ok. cheeky man wanted blinds, shed and WASHING MACHINE!! then now says may or may not buy thinking about it for a couple of days. why do people mess you about so much!! we have been up 6 weeks had 19 viewings, two lots of 2nd viewings and our third 2nd viewing tomo and i have a house cleaned within an inch of its life almost daily and children who can rarely get toys out eat without a hoover strapped to them and weekends taken up with people saying that they really wanted a garage, when we NEVER had one!!! AHHHHHHHH
