How Long is your Commute?
New I would get an excuse to post on here again, for selfish reasons I may add, but nevermind eh
Anyway I am taking up a new job soon with a bit more travel, just wondering what the consensus on here is about commute times, and what would you class as acceptable?

Re: How Long is your Commute?
20 minutes each way, seems to be getting longer due to more congestion on the roads...

Re: How Long is your Commute?
The length of the commute in Sydney depends very much on time of day - if I leave home after 7:00 am then the time increase is exponential i.e. if I leave at 6:45 then its 25-30 minutes, if I leave at 7:15 then its 40-50

good run 1 hour
bad run 1 hour 15
its pretty consistent for me -regardless of traffic!

Re: How Long is your Commute?
It sure does it has given me options in the day instead of getting up early to drive to work I can get up early and go to the gym.
I was lucky to get home by 7pm (could be way later with an accident) after finishing work, hitting the gym and then driving home. Now since the move to the Valley i've been to the gym and walked home and its 5.10pm leaving plenty of time for other pursuits.
It would certainly be a big wrench to leave and go back to how it was.

Re: How Long is your Commute?
Approximately 20 seconds, depending on how much crap my son's left on the stairs ...
