How long for TRA confirmation ?

How long for TRA confirmation ?
Hiya,
can anyone tell me how long it takes the TRA to let you know that they have received your application? Also is it by snail mail or email, as I know they received our application on the 27th of June as it was signed for by Mark?

Hope this helps... we sent our TRA off Priority on 29/04/05, received the acknowledgment (via snail mail) on the 20/05/05 which was dated 10/05/05 (so it took 10 days to get to us in UK), & got our positive on 25/06/05.

well done on your successful application,the hardest bit over.
So hopefully we will be looking at about 8 weeks for a decision.Will have to keep our minds occupied by getting on with the visa application,(touch wood).

hopefully then acknowledgement should be Monday as we sent ours the 23rd June.

We got our acknowledgement 10 days after receipt, and approval 5 weeks 5 days after acknowledgement date
