Question how long to load a packed 4*2 house

we're moving from canberra across to perth in a few weeks and we are wondering if anyone has an idea as to how long it'll take the removalists to load our house contents (1 and a little bit containers worth!) given that they are already packed. we are in a rented house presently, so we need to get the carpets cleaned, and have the agent come around for our bond - so we need to get an idea of the timings involved.

anyone help?

Cheers

Jon

Don't know if it will be of use, but to pack (to export standards!) a four bedroom, three reception house, with too much sewing and kitchen equipment (per DH) onto a 40 foot container, took two and a half days - the actual loading of the container took about 4 or so hours only.

They will have it done the same day they start, if its all already packed. You shouldnt have too many probs with that.

Nothing like cutting it fine!!

If it were me, I would have it like this;

1. they come and pack on the Wednesday
2. move into a hotel for 2 nights
3. they load Thursday
4. Check out of hotel Friday morning
5. Carpets cleaned Friday morning
6. Agent inspects Friday lunch time
7. Take a comfy ride to the airport for the 7pm flight...possibly stopping for a relaxing late lunch/early dinner and a couple of wines....

Now thats my pace!!
