how long for licence?

hey all,

quick one..... how long does it take for your aussie driving licence to come through once you've dne the test. is it a case of getting it there and then, or waiting for something through the post??

Yep that's right. Pass the test, have photo taken, licence issued. Takes about 10 minutes.

might depend on state, but in VIC tehre is no test anymore (since feb 05 ish).
It's just a swap, your Uk gets a hole punched through, and you get your VIC licence "there and then" (might have to allow for an hour all up from queing to leaving the building....)
