How long have you taken to move to Australia once visa was granted? Which visa?

Long time ago now but spouse visa, about 6 hours I think - DH had to go to Australia House to collect my passport on the morning of the day we left.

We applied for visa July 2010 (176 Family sponsor), Visa granted June 2011, validated Feb 2012 and we land in Adelaide 28 August 2012 all being well

We made our permanent move 7 months after visa grant. At one point we thought we might leave it a couple of years, but we came on validation, both got job offers within a couple of weeks and decided no better time. That was the 175 skilled migrant visa.

Visa applied for March 08, granted Oct 08, we flew to Australia March 09 and we've never looked back!

Er..... 3.5 years! We had an old cat...and we had to tell my Mum 
That's nothing my friend did 4 years and 51 weeks! Just a bit of a problem when she needed to leave for a trip before being here for 2 years to get an RRV but they gave her a 3 month pass.
Whilst waiting for visa's life moves on a bit, things crop up so it's not always easy to up sticks and go. Plus we had moved and loved living where we were so we had a crunch do we or don't we....we did!

Visa was granted 22 November 2007 (we only got the email at the beginning of December for some reason though) and we flew out on 8 Jan 2008. Would have been sooner but Christmas got in the way

457 job offer in july 2009 , landed mid october 2009.

We applied for our 176 skilled (family sponsored) visa in April 2008 and it was granted October 2008. We have recently decided to move to Perth as there seems more job opportunities for OH. The plan is to move this July.

I got my visa granted and then moved out here a couple of weeks after.
