Default How long has it taken for that sale

Hi there

Was just wondering how long it has taken people to sell their houses and what areas (roughly) they were in.

We are near portsmouth and have been on the market for 3 weeks - not much interest though and not much activity in the area.

Hi we've been on for about 8 weeks not sold yet but had a viewer round this morning so fingers firmly crossed!!!!

Have you checked out the land registry site it tells you numbers of sales by postcode and price.

Good luck

Chris

We were on for 6 months - had one offer after 3 months but it fell through. We didn't reduce our price at all and agreed a sale last week at approx £7,000 under the asking price. Both sides are happy to exchange before the end of the month for completion on 31 July. (Fingers crossed!)

Good luck to anyone out there with a house still to sell - it's a horrid business!

I don't know about our flat as we are waiting for the visa to be approved. However, 2 flats in our complex sold in the space of 1 week. We're in Glasgow.

Hi

Our house has been on the market for 10 weeks, changed agents after 6 weeks (2 viewings although I think maybe 1 was set up). Had first viewing with new agents last week. Agent showed them round, said they really liked the house but have to find a buyer for theirs first, so still no offers.

We live between Andover and Winchester, Hampshire.

Thanks - this one is quite incredible. We have known our neighbours for years and always felt they paid loads more for their house - just goes to show - the jones' are pretty crafty sometimes

I did a quick search on this one for a postcode that I sold in Eastbourne in 2002 for £295,000 and another in the same road which I sold last year for £350,000 and it gave an average price of £148,000! Not sure where they get their figures from as no house in that road under £250,000!!!
