Default how long to go

hello
visa application logged, but on hold till new baby arrives in July!!!!! then we can have the med and police checks done. anyone got some info on recent time scales

Have a look at this site, it tells you where DIMA are with the applications.

after we submitted meds & police checks we got our visas 7 wks later.......

whats involed in the medicals for adults and is there a differance for kiddies, one under 2 another will be newborn

For Steve & I it was a strip down to undies, general health check, sight, reflexes, etc, weight, height (don't panic as we both had HIGH BMI's) and then the obligatory blood tests. You have to have chest xrays too. As you are in Wakefield your nearest one is is huddersfield (Lindley Practice) - thats where we went too.

For our kids (Jonah was 2 1/2 and Suzy was 4 1/2 mths) it was much easier. The doctor looked at both their red books & asked me if they were up to date with jabs. Both were weighed. Suzy had her reflexes done. That was it for the baby. Jonah also had his reflexes done, he had to say his own name & then she did some mental dexterity games with him to check his development. That was it for him.
