First thought of it December 2003 - didn't have enough points 
Found out December 2004 that husband's job was back on the MODL - meant extra points and we now had enough points to scrape through. Yippeee! Applied straight away.
Got the visa September 2005, but couldn't move straight away, because I wanted to finish my uni degree first.
Validated visa after Christmas.
Moving to Perth 2007.

Back packed it in 86
Found out they didn't want us as we were not skilled in anything they wanted
Finally made it after about 4 applications in 2001!

July 2004 - bought the lonely planet
January 2005 - first holliday to Oz
September 2005 - first and only job application sent to see how it would go
January 2006 - one and only job interview on second holliday
April 2006 - application lodged

We decided to move in 2001/2002 and will finally arrive on 9th Sept this year. So around 5-6 years!
Now that is getting so close I am really getting a bit nervous, but we have done as much as we could to prepare ourselves, so I am sure everything will be fine.

First met Aussies (professional/social capacity) 12 years ago - very impressed.
Contemplated visit in 1999. Contemplated working here in 1999 too. Even bought a book about it. Idea shelved and not taken seriously.
Considered migration Early 2001 after a life changing event and stockcheck.
Came out for a WHV 2002. Applied end 2002, migrated end 2003.
