How long do i have to study??
 

Can anyone give me any info??
Im on a student visa here with my husband and daughter, been here now for six months, studying a diploma in hairdressing and salon management, running for two years.
I have already done hairdressing in the UK (two year course) but not enough experience in a salon, so im flying through this course and also working in a salon 20hours per week.
Anyway what i want to know is when can i apply for pr im hoping to be finished the hairdressing course by this christmas 2009..but the management will probably go on until May/June 2010..can i still apply for pr if i have not finished the management certificate but completed the hairdressing one..

You have to have studied for 2 full years. If you use any recognition of prior learning it can mess the whole visa up for you.
So you can apply for your skills assessment once you have 900 hours and cert 3, but you can't apply for the visa until the end of your two years.
