For everyone who is already in Oz and has received their possessions from the UK, how long did it take for your freight to arrive? And where did you have it shipped to? Any problems?

Hi there

I dont know if all freight companies are the same, but ours went with PSS and left on the 2nd of June and arrived in Brissie on the 15th July, so it took 6 weeks to get here; we were told that it could take between 5 to 7 weeks to get to Oz from the UK. Although we were told that it could take up to 2 weeks to clear customs, I believe it actually took less than a week. We finally get our things back on Tuesday, so in total we have been 9 weeks without our belongings!

We cannot wait til Tuesday...to finally have our own things....

we used allied pickfords, they collected our things 15th march, we flew to oz on the 30th march and our stuff started its journey mid april, it arrived here 17th june, customs held onto it for 3 weeks because they found a dirty childs bike.
our stuff was shipped to melbourne and i really cant praise them enough, they were A1 from start to finish!

we used britannia
left 14th june
arrived fremantle 14 july
arrived at our house last wednesday

we made sure that everything was cleaned thoroughly
and had no problems - we had some of our photoframes broken ( the folding bit at the back) but other than that not much else
although i am still wading through the boxes trying to unpack!!
