How long did it take you to get your tax refund?
Sooo for all those waiting for a bit of a tax rebate, how long did it take from lodging to the money being in your bank and did you lodge online or via post?
I posted mine and its been 15 days today and still no refund. boo

Online, mine took about 2 weeks. Posting it I'd allow a lot longer while it drifts through Aus Post......

Only took one week if you gave bank details.
First year we didnt and it took longer as they sent a cheque.

If you lodged via e-tax before July 15, expect to wait up to 28 days for your return. If you lodged via e-tax after July 15 expect to wait up to 14 days.
If you lodge via taxpack, that is via snail mail, expect to wait up to 42 days for your return.
Tax professionals usually lodge electronically so if it was lodged after July 15, its a 2 week max. turn around.
All these details can be found on the ato.gov.au website.

That's interesting. The last 3 years we have lodged ours via the etax online system and received the money in our accounts within 8 days, everytime

Received in 1 week for each of us, directly to nominated bank account, using ETax. It is an excellent system and we have used it every year for the last 7 years we have been here.
