Hi,

Just wondering on average how long it takes from the start of application to arriving in oz?

We have been started for a year now but still not there

Passed TRA in Aug 07 and been looking for a job since but nothing

feel like it is only us not moving but i guess there are lots of people in our shoes!

Hopefully when the time is right we will get a job

1 year. Sent application in the September, requested for meds the following April, visa in July and arrived in the September.

It might be taking longer for you beause you're looking for a job before you go. Lots of people (ourselves included) are moving over and then looking for a job, we applied in March 08 and hope to be in Oz by End of Nov 08.
Once we get there we're gonna look for jobs!

Serious now, we signed with agent in the february, sent visa application in at the end of the june and got the visa at the beginning of feb the following year. But we didn't fly until august as son was doing his GCSE's and wanted some summer hol time with his mates before we left.

We applied for TRA October 31 2005. Positive result received mid November 2005. Applied for visa February 2 2006. Visa granted July 12 2006. Flight left Toronto at 5 am August 11 and we arrived Adelaide August 13 2006.

We would have applied for the visas 2 months earlier but we had to wait for Ottawa to process our son's passport. All the others came, but for some reason his was held up.

Hi we sent away skills assessment ( nurses ) end of Jan 2006. Applied for visa May 2006. Arrived in Brisbane end of April 2007. Does not seem long but it felt like it.
