Hi all,

Has anyone in the UK submitted Medicals & Pol checks in the last month? I was just wondering how long it normally took to hear whether you got a visa or not?
I spoke to Aus House today and they said that no new mail was being dealt with for the next few weeks to allow them to catch up on the work load?!?

I sent my medicals last week. Responses have been running at less than month
recently, but I reckon the changes in recent weeks will extend the times for a while,
so I am not expecting a response for at least a month, and knowing my luck, more like
several months. Is your application with London ar Adelaide as you said you called
Australia House and not Adelaide?

Chris, could I ask what type of visa you are waiting on? I sent off my medical and police check on 17/4/02 and like you were wondering how much more of a wait I am in for. I am applying for a Prospective Spouse Visa and would love to be on my way to Aus by end of May but think I might be being a bit on the optimistic side there!!! thanks Debs

We're waiting for a Skilled Independant (Nursing) first applied Jan 2001. Called for medicals about 4 weeks ago, submitted about 2 weeks ago.
