Can anyone tell me how far the main airport in Brisbane is to the Gold coast?

Approximately 1 hour to 1hr 15.

Is there a train service to the Gold coast? What do you mean about gateway?

I was going to add to my post...ask 'The Bloke' for a more accurate timing but I feared it would have been deleted.

The Gateway is a bridge on the main motorway to the Gold Coast.

You can go by train also though - Airtrain from the airport, sometimes have to change in the city, but the line then goes down to Robina.

The train goes down to the west of most of the Gold Coast suburbs. You'll need to go by bus or taxi if you want to go to Southport/Surfers or any of the Southern suburbs.

We are looking at Nerang, Helensvale and places nearby. Does the train go that far?

Yep, stations in both of those suburbs.

Are they direct routes from the airport train station? Also can I take an internal flight to these suburbs? Is there airport near the Gold Coast?

Brisbane Airport to Helensvale by car 50 mins, train about the same time, probably easier to fly into Coolangatta (Gold Coast) airport, mind you both are tweezy

That's great, but I bet it doesn't do flights from the Uk? Is Brisbane the only airport that does flights from the Uk? It would be so handy having an airport close by, as I have alot of family that would come and vist.
