How do you get over this one.............
 

Hi everybody

Pickfords have been to give us a quote for shipping today, very professional and knew the answer to my many questions.................but apparently there is a new law now whereby you HAVE to give an address where your furniture is to be delivered. We do not have a delivery address and will not have one until we get there and find somewhere to live. What do we do now????

Has anyone else come across this and how did you get over it?

Mmm, we came across this too, thankfully we have friends there who we will be staying with so that was the address we gave! Do you not have any family or friends in Australia so that you could use their addy>?

Are you sure it's not just a contact address they need ?
We've just given our rellies address in Adelaide, even though we won't be living there.

We have given the address of our relatives in Brisbane although we will not be staying with them. If you do not have any family there tell the shipping company and see what they come up with, I'm sure they will come up with something to secure your business. :)

when we came to Aus it was a contact address they wanted too ( check it out.. you may be confusing it with delivery address).

Have one of you got a job to come to? What we did is put the address and contact numbers of the company building., as we didn't have a residental address either before we got here. So if one of you has a job.. just put that address down for your contact address.

When we came out we just gave them the address of the hotel/appartments we were staying at for the first few days. Once we got a place to rent we just let them know the new address.

Ditto Owieb's reply. We gave the address of the self catering apartments that we're staying at. Once we have a rental address we will let them know.
