How do you copy DVD's?
We have bought a computer here in Oz (our lovely Sony Viao from the UK, one of many items stolen in a recent burglary). Anyway, we have no idea how to copy or if indeed it is even possible to copy them as so many DVD's have a copyright protection. Our computer also seems to have a dislike for DVD's from other regions.
We have been told we can pay and download software but where from??? How do we know if they are reputable? We tried one from the USA for $10 but it hasn't worked. Any ideas please............ Luckily in the burglary our precious DVD's were left behind but we are worried about the next time. |
Re: How do you copy DVD's?
have a look her to see if your DVD is included in the Guaranteed Unlockable
http://www.dvdunlocker.com/movies/?pu=false&srec=true to find out what model you have just go to start, Programs, accessories, system tools and then system information ( a box will open) Click the + next to components, click CD-ROM to highlight it and all the information of model will show in the right window

As for playing your DVD's, if they are UK discs then they maybe region coded to "region 2" and your laptop if bought in Oz may be set to "region 4" so be carefull, my Mac allows you to change the region code of the player up to a set number of times, then it is locked to the region of the final DVD played. A bummer if you play an Oz film last and all your other DVDs are UK. You can also region Free your Oz DVD by also doing a Google search. Good luck Bobby |
