How do you arrange health insurance when you arrive
Hi moving to Oz in mid August and having a holiday on route so I need to arrange holiday insurance but presume that will not be valid when we become residents in Oz. How do you register for health cover when you arrive as I presume this needs to be done asap.Is there any way you can register from the UK? Cheers everyone.

Yes that is correct, you are covered, but if you do not buy some healthcare you will have to pay the medicare levy which is 1.5% of salary under/over a certain amount.
