Question How to choose cheap flight ?

Is there any guidelines for choosing the cheap flight from UK to OZ ? For example, best part of the year, day of week, maybe daytime ? I am asking that because I am getting great deviation in ticket price from 800 to 2000 euros !

I want to reserve even eleven months ahead so I can choose the cheapest possible !!

Try this Singaporean consolidator who is based in London.

He specialises in bargain prices for the Asian airlines eg. Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Malaysian Airlines etc.

I used to live in Singapore and many Brit expats there would get their friends and relatives to book through:

Hope this helps!

PS. fares are always fluctuating due to supply and demand...you probably already know that in the UK school holidays, prices suddenly rise! Same goes for Christmas, especially Down Under when people want to go 'home' and when it's the Oz/NZ Summer hols.
Flights to Athens next Summer will be high due to the Olympics, for example.

Time of year is what counts the most for cost, also airline. Fly in the winter months for cheap flights (Jun, July, Aug), avoid any holiday periods and try the likes of Gulf and Emirates. The cheapest ticket should be around £550.

Note that as an example, the big airlines put up prices from about £900 to about £1200 on 9th or 10th December for the summer period. Daytime and weekday should have little if any effect.

If you haven't already looked at it try www.singaporeair.co.uk
good service, and decent prices. We paid 400 GBP one way in January, Mother is pricing up for May and is currently coming back at 480 GBP return. plus taxes 64GBP (I think)

No pound sign on Aussie keyboards, but then again why would there be?

The unready

we booked with lees travel & they were great - good thing about it is that you can access your on-line itinerary at any time too. They were very good price wise & beat the people we have quotes from anyway.

Cheers
