Just goes go show how vast the country is, especially in terms of weather difference - here in Cairns we're around 88% - 90% humidity today.

Very moist - straightened my hair this morning and by this arvo I have an authentic, full-on, 70's stylee afro going on...

What about wet sheets on the windows, so any breeze coming through is less drying, only problem I can see is out that way in summer they might dry out in less than 10 mins. :scared: but could be worth a try. Skip coffee too, really dehydrates you out there.

You're spot on. They do dry within 10 minutes. A while ago I mopped the floorboards , and they were dry within 5 minutes, so no help either
Would hate to do that twice a day just to increase the humidity , reckon I'll buy a humidifier on the weekend.

By the way, we do not have radiators, no use for that out here....

I know it's better but I can't abide room temp water
I wasn't suggesting she did! But any wet thing near any heat source will do it. Even if the heat source is the sun.

ah Katia, the world is small. As one guy said, you actually maybe should make your blog a bit more public, because YOUR life is really interesting, not as I said before the usual thing - out of city life, back into city life.

What are the neighbours doing about it? Probably used to it. When I was in Canada I used to put water in my nostrils because my nose became very painful of the dryness.
