How busy is busy? [I don't care anymore :)]
You know you get assigned a case officer to help you through the visa process, well I was wondering how long is a reasonable wait for an e-mail reply? I know the poor woman is not working uniquely for us and that she must be pretty busy.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not moaning but I am becoming anxious at the amount of time it's taking to get a response regarding my son's medical. As you may or may not know, a month or so ago we sent off our x-rays and it took seven days from the time they recieved them, to making a decision. Brilliant but kind of set a standard. They then told us that our son needed a medical and they have had this for over a month.
It would be great if I could contact someone who knows the current situation.

You will never believe this.....the very second I clicked to submit the above post, my e-mail client told me I had mail.
Son's name here (DOB here,M) 457 visa was granted on
12/07/2006. There was a problem last week with regards to sending auto
notification letters.
Since you are from an ETA country you can travel to Australia without a
visa and have the visa evidenced in your passports with in 4 weeks of
arrival in Australia.
