Possibly not but they do have permanent housing in residential caravan parks.

And Canada is possibly nothing like America. I wonder why that is, oh hang on, possibly because it's a different country. Strange how some things are different in other places.

Australia's dysfunctional housing is in well houses. Which is bad news for the many migrants who can only afford 300-400k for a house. The odds of living next to a dysfunctional family are great.

coober pedy: the houses are carved into the rock, which is ****ing awesome. They're like a modern day, history-devoid, much less impressive version of Petra.
actually, that doesnt sell them too well.

The inner city Victorian era terrace houses in Paddington, Balmain, Melbourne etc are simply stunning. The architecture of some of the properties in Glebe (NSW) is tremendous.

Australia has such a diverse range of properties that its a bit of a stupid statement to say all the houses in Canada are better.

What exactly are you after in a house?

I'm sure Google Street View would highlight some real shitpits in Canada, as it would do anywhere.

What compromise are you thinking of?
Australia usually comes out above Canada in the league tables that measure that sort of stuff.

Probably the same sort of stuff Brits miss. Family, friends, TV, Marmite...
