House Sales Data
Are there any Australian websites which give you details of prices that houses were sold for like www.nethouseprices.com ?
I know about the homebuyers reports but you have to pay for them, and I'm tight .

But I've been unable to find a website with house sales on it with the prices, which is free. Some estate agents put recent sales on their websites, but not all of them include what they went for. I've resorted to scanning the sites of the real estate agents that do post prices, and looking at back copies of the Sydney Morning Herald's property section - which lists the weekly auctions and private treaty sales - at the library. Although even this doesn't have all the sales, and some purchases have their price witheld.

is a free prices site (agents HATE it!) but it only covers ACT, Illawarra and a few others IIRC although it is expanding.
Used it a lot while house hunting - it gives the selling histories going back about 10 years.
