Default House prices "pick up in January"

According to the BBC web site, house prices "pick up in January". Article here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4664598.stm

Hope this means that all those waiting to sell their houses will see things moving, especially Rooksie and Anastasia Beaverhousen!

Know the feeling... Ours has been on the market for 4 months now, with loads of viewings and only one very silly offer!!!

Just reduced by £30k......... Ouch!

Good luck everyone.

Glad to hear it, I'm in Oz with the dogs, husband in UK trying to sell the house, its been on the market for 7 months had one silly offer, there is just to much choice at the moment plus the fact buyers think your desperate when they know your emigrating.

Where abouts in Bradford do you live?

I live in Bradford too and have had one offer on my house and it's not in the estate agents window yet !

It was 3k under what we asked for but we added £2k anyway so not too bad. We are holding out though as it has only been in estate agents since friday.

Cold up there isn't it?

My hubby come's from top o't mountain.

Good luck with your house sale. Can't imagine you'd have too much problem. I think the secret is to price it high then accept a lower offer to make them think they've got a bargain
