It could go either way beens they have moderated stamp duty fro first time buyers ,we might see a moderate increase but i do know investors are leaving the housing market in droves now so its probably more likely we will see pressures on the rental market upwards as the returns are so poor now ,

A real estate contact of ours said his agency was only picking sure fire sellers to promote at the moment as even more houses on the market meant fewer potential buyers (and therefore more work for him!). He used the excuse of too many houses on the books to turn people away. I'm sure this isn't the case for you, but just reporting what I was told.
