i was wondering as there are loads of threads about people not wanting to go to perth because of house prices...

i wonder what an average is that us brits heading out want to pay all over australia..

what do you want for your money?wherever in australia...

i personally when i started on this journey over a year ago,,ideally wanted to pay £400k,now i am looking from $450-550k..in perth..

i want 1000+ square meters,30r4x2 house,,

Have you considered building your own.
I will eventually do this but have been surprised at the land costs. It would seem that there would be little equity after build costs.
Wish I had bought father- in- laws 12 years ago $79,000 next to a golf course.

you can get half an acre for $300k if you know where to look....

i was just about to buy in jan,but wobbled at the last minute,,we also looked at smaller lots in secrete harbour for less than 300k on which we were encouraged to make lower bids.......

When we first started looking - over 18 months ago - $350K would have bought us a lovely 4+2 with pool close to the ocean.

We would still like similar, on a block of around 700sq mtrs, but now we are looking at $550K - $650K and may have to put a pool in !!

Perth, Northern suburbs.
