Default house prices

Hi All

Paper review on News 24 has The Times headline of "House Prices On The Slide"

Sure it's designed to spread panic, it's made me panic as our house is back on the market after our sale fell through.

So, good luck to all those house sellers on the forum, fingers crossed we all get rid quick

It started with the bank of England saying there will possibly be a crash and that 1st time buyers should hold off from buying. I agree with you . I think it's designed to worry people so that the market cools off. This is great news for new buyers and bad news for people selling so they can emigrate. Hopefully whatever happens here will happen in Aus too.

Yes

Bloody Bank of England, although they sought of done a retraction the following day, but alas the damage was done

Would be good thou if we could sell at the peak here and buy in Oz in a downturn in house prices or at least a levelling off in the market (apologies to Oz house owners and mortgage holders!!)

Yeah, scary times. We've sold ours but the new people don't move in 'til the end of August. We know they're right on the limit for their morgage.

Sh**ing it in case they pull out because of all this.

Hi

I know how you feel. We were due to complete 9th July, hoping to be in Perth in September. It has set us back at least 2 months.

We are still hopeful thou as we are still keeping our buyers as it was there buyer that pulled out. Contracts, mortage offers are in place. They just need to sell their house. We will have to put our house back on the open market next week thou as we can't hang around waiting forever for them to sell but we risk loosing them as they will look at other houses. Then we are back to square 1.

Good luck with yours hope it all works out for you
