Very quick question...but can anyone tell me what the housing market is like on the Sunshine Coast at the moment? Is it still going up madly....has it flattened out or is it having a bit of a drop??

Are high interest rates having an effect on the market??

Thanks for any advice got a job interview tommorow for a property job - so if any of you guys could tell me any inside information on the state of the market - it would be really appreciated!

does anyone have any predictions of where the market is heading.... (im still in the UK)

House prices are still going up, ours has increased in value about $50,000 in the last 12 months. This is on a $450,000 4 bed house

whats it like on sunshine coast, were on gold coast and thinking of moving but dont know areas very well. plus hubbie got to be able to find work and people keep saying theres not much work on sunshine coast etc?

Hey there, we love the Sunshine Coast, Really relaxed and chilled way of life. Lovley beahes etc etc.
What does your husband do, if he has a trade, then there is heaps of work !! My hubby is a Carpenter, and at first struggled to get a job, cos he didnt have licenses etc, but hes now working for a builder, doing house reno's earning a very good wage.

hi ang, hubbies a plumber gasfitter but only got his provisinal here, wants to do new build but no one taking on up here until end of march possibly our rental only until end of feb were not exactly setteld apart from kids at school on gold coast and deciding whether we would be better moving for teh work lesley

Hi Ang

we are just starting the visa process and are looking to moving out to the SC around 2009. OH is a carpenter and i am a training as a midwife so we are hoping we will be able to get work around here. we were looking around mango hill area so if you have any info on this along with carpenters jobs, wages and licences i would be very, very grateful.

we still dont know how easy it would be for OH to get a licence and how much he would earn as information seems to be varied.

we also have 2 children age 15 and 5 would this be a good area for them. where do you live.

We our house valued on a Brisbane radio sation and they advised that in Caloundra the growth would be between 10 and 12 % in the coming 12 months

We have had our property since August 2006 and it went up in value by 80K

Granted we have added value with things, but it ain't slowing down, only growing, to fit all the new people arriving from both south of the border and overseas. High demand.
