House has sold

Fianlly after 3 months our house has sold. It was completely out of the blue and was a viewer we had with our first agent in November. Offered 4k less than the asking price, which worked out at about 1.75% below very good in current market, we have accepted. 3 houses in chain (inc ours) 1st in chain is buy to let who has funds confirmed, second has funds confirmed and our buyers who are very keen and have funds available. Came for second viewing today and still loved it. Fingers crossed. Only downside is we haven't got our visas yet. AOS interview on 9th Feb, so if Centrelink get their ass in gear we could get them by the end of Feb. Reality says it could be March. Do we book shippers or not, do we book pet exporters or not. Do we........... so many if, buts and maybes. But a least its sold. Fingers crossed for smooth chain.

Cheers Jo

Thanks for your good wishes. We are hoping to settle in a place called Umina. This is about 1hour north of sydney. Near Gosford.

Hi there. Hope it all goes through ok for you. Like so many others, we are still waiting for that elusive buyer. Had one just before xmas, but they were messing us about so much, we've put the house back on the market. Have had lots of viewings, but no offers as yet.
