Please tell me someone else is feeling the heat. I think you are all warm but dont want to admit it to us newbies.

You get used to it pretty quick. I'm never comfortable before it goes over 25 degrees. I still had a jumper on yesterday (27). Today I am in heaven. This is perfect for me. Not too hot, not too cold...ahhhhh.
But I'd much rather be hot than cold. If there is even the slightest cold breeze I rug up. Weird, I know.

P.S. This really IS nothing to talk about. When it's 42 and we have easterlies... then you'll hear people complain.... about the flies

Bloody lovely jubbly!! Been to the beach this arvo. First time this spring.

I reckon we're feeling the heat because it's been so darn cold for so long.

It got to over 40 a couple of times last year but you soon get used to the heat. I can't stand being cold now, yet in the UK I was a real winter bird. Loved the frosts and snow back there. Gets to below 18 here and I hate it!

Still hate the pesky flies though. Haven't they brought out some sort of creature that'll kill and eat all the little buggers yet?

It does feel hot today- don't worry you do adjust. Last summer on really hot days (not too many) we often retreated indoors during the middle of the day and enjoyed the cooler evenings and early mornings. I haven't fully adjusted to getting up at 6am to enjoy the day before it gets too hot like some Perth folk do. The good thing we have found is that a really hot day (in the 40s) is often followed by cooler ones. It never seemed to be relentlessly hot for days on end.

We had builders round today and it was funny to be supplying them with jugs of water instead of the usual cuppa we would have supplied in Scotland.

Keep cool Ali

Its warm here as well, although today was a very comfortable 27 deg
we are inland and have a very dry desert heat so in mid summer when it gets over 40 deg, i find it unbearable so i can sympathise with you. Sometimes it would be nice to live closer to the beach where you can paddle about and stay cool. But, on saying that, i would much rather be too hot than freezing my ass off in my native scotland right now
