Hello

Me & my hubby are hoping to emmigrate to Australia as soon as we can.

Can anyone tell me what the hospitals & health service are like...do they have the equivilent to nhs?

As a past cancer patient, i will have to have the necessary scans etc., is private insurance better...

All advice much appreciated.

Hospitals same as the UK some good some bad, but you will pay some amounts towards care and under Medicare you may not get some medication if not on the drugs list.
Private is better if you can afford it , I am sure scans will be no problem its big business here same with X rays , in fact most tests are done quicker because doctors do not worry about cost that gets passed on to you and Medicare.
